Daphna is a 2nd year masters student in the Synthetic Characters group. Her research is currently focused on creating characters who learn through interacting with and observing other characters (for instance, through imitation).

Daphna graduated from Brown University in 2002 with a degree in Human Biology (a bit of a misnomer since for her senior thesis she studied the behavior of juvenile crab spiders). Having dabbled in animal behavior, computer science, cognitive science, linguistics, psychology and ultimate frisbee, she is a jack of all trades (and strives to master at least one).
